Julia Flammer

Julia studied medicine at the University of Basel, Switzerland. She wrote her Master's thesis on the interaction of tumor associated macrophage/microglia modulators and glioblastoma in bioreactors. She is currently a doctoral candidate in clinical research in the Pröbstel lab and is studying the role of IgA and gut microbiome interactions in neuroinflammatory, neuroinfectious and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as the role of B cells in the immune microenvironment of brain neoplasms, especially glioblastoma multiforme.
