Laila completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at the Philipps University of Marburg, Germany, and obtained her Master's degree in Neuroscience at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is currently a PhD student in the Pröbstel lab, following the International PhD Program In Biomedicine. Laila combines wet lab work with cutting-edge single cell sequencing technologies to assess the pathogenic role of B cells in autoimmune disorders. She is particularly interested in transcriptomic features of B cells in MOGAD.
