Julia Flammer

Julia studied medicine at the University of Basel, Switzerland. She wrote her Master's thesis on the interaction of tumor associated macrophage/microglia modulators and glioblastoma in bioreactors. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical research in the Pröbstel lab in which she studied the role of IgA and gut microbiome interactions in neuroinflammatory, neuroinfectious and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as the role of B cells in the tumor immune microenvironment of brain neoplasms, especially glioblastoma multiforme.
