Patrick Lipps
Patrick is a clinician-scientist who studied medicine at the University of Basel and Bordeaux. He completed his MD doctoral thesis under Prof. Pröbstel, where he investigated a recently defined demyelinating disease titled MOGAD and its overlap to other neuroinflammatory diseases such as MS through clinical as well as experimental studies. In that period, he also developed an expertise in the analysis of single cell as well as B cell receptor data, as an additional approach to further study these conditions. Alongside his research activities, Patrick has completed clinical rotations in internal medicine and is currently pursuing his residency training in neurology.
