Verena Schäfer

Verena studied Biology in Basel and wrote her Master’s thesis in medical parasitology at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Instute. Afterwards she was working over 10 years in biotech industry, developing fully human antibodies against infectious diseases and immune checkpoint targets. In 2018 she returned to Academia and joined the department of biomedicine research group of Prof. Gennaro DeLibero as lab manager and scientific associate, working with MR1 restricted T-cells. Since 2024, she supports the team of Prof. Anne-Katrin Pröbstel as lab manager and wants to learn more about the role of T cells in MOGAD and MS patients.
